Personal Code of Ethics

A code of ethics honors one’s morals and values. They are built over time through our life experiences and the people who influence us. Growing up my parents always told me to just be myself and people and opportunities will come. Being kind, respectful, loyal and honest are all traits I exhibit and expect from others in return.

 

I will be my true authentic self.

It is important to remain true to myself and not conform to what others wish me to be. I want everyone to have the opportunity to know the true me.

 

I will honor my commitments.

This includes promises made to friends, family, work and me. Obviously, there are times where my commitments may conflict between my social and work life, but I trust myself to make the best decision.

 

I will be honest with myself and others.

Transparency is the key to trust. I will not withhold important information from people seeking the truth. I will be upfront while still honoring my privacy. I will admit when I have made a mistake and learn from it as well.

 

I will show compassion and kindness to everyone.

It is important I make a positive impact on people. Being kind is cool.

I will respect everyone.

People deserve respect regardless of their differences or conflicts. Respect builds trust and security within our relationships.

Diversity and Inclusion Statement

Everyone comes from a different background and life experiences and it is vital to acknowledge and respect these differences. People of different cultures, backgrounds, perspectives and experiences all bring different values and approaches to how we think about the world and are the key to innovation and adaptability. It is my personal mission to surround myself with diverse people that will help me grow, learn new perspectives and contribute to my overall understanding of the world. I will also keep myself educated on how I can do better to contribute to the conversation on diversity and do my part to be fully inclusive to all.

Summary

I will do my part to honor my own code of ethics and diversity and inclusion statement. It is important we all are able to be our true authentic selves. No matter your sexual orientation, gender expression, creed, race, age, or national origin, you have the right to express and be whomever you want to be. We must show respect and compassion regardless of our differences and support each other through the good and the bad. We must come together to educate and learn with one another to build trust and transparency and further innovate and change the world as one.
